Vooli
Terms of service
Last updated: July 22, 2026 · Effective: July 22, 2026
1. Who you're agreeing with
By using the Vooli app you’re entering a binding agreement with Vooli LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company (“Vooli,” “we,” “our”). If you don’t agree with these terms, please don’t use the app.
2. What Vooli is
Vooli is a local-first productivity app for adults. It runs on iOS and ships through the Apple App Store. Your data lives on your device; there is no Vooli account and no Vooli server (see our Privacy Policy). The app is free to use, with an optional one-time Vooli Prounlock (section 4). We may add features or platforms in future releases and will update these terms before any change that affects what you’re paying for.
3. Eligibility (age)
Vooli is intended for users aged 13 and older (16 and older in the European Economic Area). By using the app you represent that you meet this age threshold, or that you are using it under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf.
See our Privacy Policy for our COPPA practices.
4. Purchases (Vooli Pro)
Vooli Pro is an optional one-time purchase — a non-consumable in-app purchase that unlocks the Pro features permanently on your Apple account. It is not a subscription: there is no recurring charge and nothing auto-renews.
- The purchase is billed by Applethrough your App Store account and is subject to Apple’s terms. The price shown at the moment of purchase applies; introductory or founder pricing, where offered, is a limited-time price set in App Store Connect.
- Pro is tied to your Apple account. You can Restore Purchases on a new device and redeem promo codes from within the app.
- Refundsfor App Store purchases are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policy; we are not able to issue App Store refunds directly. Contact Apple Support, or email us and we’ll help where we can.
5. Your data and device
Vooli is local-first: your content is stored on your device, and (if you enable it) synced through your own Apple iCloud. Because your data lives with you, keeping your device, its passcode, and its backups secure is your responsibility. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. We do not hold a copy we can restore for you.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use Vooli to:
- Break the law or facilitate someone else doing so.
- Harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
- Reverse engineer, tamper with, or attempt to circumvent the app’s technical protections or in-app purchase mechanisms.
- Resell, redistribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit access to the app.
- Submit content that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property rights.
7. Your content
You own the tasks, lists, routines, habits, and notes you create in Vooli. We don’t claim ownership of your content, and because it stays on your device (and your own iCloud, if you enable sync) rather than on our servers, we neither receive nor take any license to it.
8. Dock Mode and device safety
Vooli’s Dock Mode turns your phone into an ambient display while it rests in a stand. You are responsible for placing and securing your device safely, and you use Dock Mode at your own risk. In particular:
- Drops and damage. Set your phone in a stable, appropriate stand on a secure surface. Vooli is not responsible for damage to your phone or property if a device falls, tips, is knocked over, or is otherwise damaged while in a stand or dock.
- Screen wear. An always-on display can, over time, contribute to image retention or burn-in on some screens. Vooli is not responsible for screen wear resulting from prolonged ambient use.
- Heat and battery. Running a display while charging can generate heat. Use a well-ventilated spot and hardware you trust; Vooli is not responsible for heat, battery wear, or charging-related effects.
Vooli Dock hardware. If you use a physical Vooli Dock or stand, follow safe handling and setup, keep it away from small children, and use it only as intended. Any Vooli hardware is provided with only such limited warranty as is stated with the product; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Vooli is not liable for incidental damage or injury arising from misuse. Nothing here limits rights you cannot waive under applicable product-safety or consumer law.
9. Accessibility
We design Vooli to meet WCAG 2.1 AA on this website and on the iOS app. The iOS app supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency, and Increase Contrast via system settings. The website supports keyboard navigation, screen readers, 200% zoom without horizontal scroll, and prefers-reduced-motion. If something blocks you from using Vooli, email support@vooli.app and we will treat the report as a functional bug, not a feature request.
10. Warranties
Vooli is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do our best to keep the app working reliably, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that your local data can never be lost (keep your own device backups). We disclaim all warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vooli LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app or Dock Mode, including damage to a device or its data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars, whichever is greater.
12. Consumer statutory rights
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any consumer statutory right you may have where prohibited by law. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protections, those rights override anything in sections 8, 10, and 11 above to the extent of the conflict.
13. Ending your use
You can stop using Vooli at any time by deleting the app, which removes its local data from that device. We may discontinue or change the app; because your data is stored locally, you keep whatever is on your device. We may also stop providing the app to a user who materially violates these terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Davidson County, Tennessee, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to sue in your local courts (in which case that right is preserved).
15. Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions stay in force. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Vooli LLC regarding the app and supersede any prior understandings.
16. Changes
We may update these terms occasionally. If we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and post the new version here before it takes effect. Because there is no account or sign-in, this page is the source of truth; continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
